This chess set was issued in several different years and under a few different names.
It was first made in 1947; I haven't aquired one of these yet.
It was issued again in much greater quantity in 1957 and in several different colors. The most common is solid black vs. white but there are other more rare color versions: black vs. white marblized, brown vs. tan version, brown vs. tan marblized and possibly others I haven't found yet.
It was issued once again in 1961 in a red box but I believe only in black vs. white colors.
