Election Irregularities

Some might consider this subject beating a dead horse. Some would even go so far as to call me a sore loser or "bitter" whatever that means. But no... history will look back on us and laugh at us for the schlamazles that we are. Fool me once (or twice) shame on you. Fool me again and again, shame on me.
As we approach a mid-term election season in which many key positions in every state are up for grabs, the Washington Post is running a headline, "Poll Shows Strong Shift Of Support to Democrats" and another story tells us that "Voter Excitement Highest in Years." You can expect things to be shaken up in 2006. But if we want the politicians we vote for to actually take office we're going to have to keep a very vigilant eye on those wiley Republicans.
I'm not going into individual detail on every election because I have referenced several web sites that have already done that in far better detail than I could do.
What I'm going to do is give you my opinion, which I personally regard as fact, based on the 2000 and 2004 elections. The numbers don't lie, folks. Someone had their hand in the cookie jar.
Exit polls are historically very VERY accurate. So accurate are they, that national news broadcasts use them to predict winners long before vote counts have been completed. Exit polls work, that's a statistically proven fact. The 2004 exit polls predicted John Kerry to win by more than 5 Million Votes. Five Million, people! It is statistically improbable almost to the point of impossibility that exit polls could be off by 5 Million votes. Give that some thought.
The citizens of Florida and Ohio, as well as other states, should have been gathered at their state capitols with torches and pitchforks demanding the heads of those responsible. With typical modern apathy we as a people said, "Oh, shame on you naughty kids" and let the offending state officials get away with it. There are even some Republicans, the decent ones, who agree that someone was up to something un-American.
The facts are made clear in the links I've placed at the bottom of this page: There are counties where the Presidential votes cast exceeded voter turn-out. In some precincts the votes counted exceeded the number of registered voters! The number of people actually voting will usually be higher than votes cast for president because some people (what were you thinking?) vote for local offices but don't cast a vote for president. Ok, shit happens. But when MORE votes are cast for president than the number of people who voted... someone is jacking around with the numbers.
Some voting software "lost" a huge number of votes and with no backups or hard copy these votes are just off to the great dustbin in the sky. Funny how this only happened in districts with a lot of minority, immigrant and retired (read that as Democratic) voters. The rich white Republican districts had ALL their votes counted at least once.
Other things look suspicious; the most major "election irregularity" in modern history was brought to us by a Republican-controlled state in which Bush's brother was governor. How stupid do the American people have to be not to at least investigate? By that I mean really investigate enough to find the truth, not the sort of wimpy investigation that passes these days; we wonder about it for a couple weeks and then our attention wanders as we just accept what happened.
The second wild ride in 2004 kept that same bastard in office in another Republican-controlled state with suspiciously similar fraud at the polls. Once again the "irregularities" happened only in districts that were predicted to vote for Kerry. Once again we let it slide.
It is interesting to note that in smaller local elections where a hand recount was possible due to paper ballots AND where the recounts were actually carried out... different results often changed who the winner turned out to be. If only we could rewind history and do this everywhere, we might never have had to suffer the socio-economic blight that is George Dubya.
If you were playing poker with someone you caught cheating TWICE, you'd knock his head in, take back your chips and refuse to play anymore. Right? Yet faced with mountains of evidence that our poor excuse for a leader has been placed in office TWICE under false poll returns, we accept it.
Follow these links. Read. Think. And when this happens again (it will), refuse to take "glitch" or "software error" as an excuse. Violating the trust of the American people in something as sacred as an election is an act so vile as to warrant public execution. Don't take it lying down again. We need the leaders that we elect, not the ones sneaky enough to fuck us over.
Voter Fraud, including numbers and sources of data!
This article is long but very much worth your time. Be sure to scroll all the way down to see just who is running the voting-booth companies and who profits from the election business.
Wikipedia.org's entry on the subject compiled from a LOT of various sources.
Wiki is fast becoming my number one source of information. Users have the ability to submit corrections and additional information along with verifiable sources. I predict Wiki will soon become "a compendium of all human knowledge."
Evidence Mounts That The Vote May Have Been Hacked
If only this had been pursued more diligently. Read this to see just how easy it is to "edit" an election by hacking a PC used to tabulate votes.
